The family was bracing for the worst outcome as pop icon Madonna emerged from the ICU, where she had been admitted due to a “serious bacterial infection,” leading to the delay of her upcoming Celebration tour.

Having suffered from the “serious bacterial infection,” Madonna, the 64-year-old American music sensation, has now left the intensive care unit (ICU) and is recovering at her residence.

On June 24th, the iconic American singer was promptly admitted to the ICU, with her family members fearing that her condition might take a grave turn.

A source close to the family, speaking to CNN, revealed that Madonna’s condition has now stabilized, and her health is on the upswing. The source went on to share that she is currently resting and abiding by the medical advice she has been given.

Guy Oseary, her manager, took to Instagram to announce that Madonna had spent a number of days in the ICU, following her illness that began on a Saturday. He reassured everyone that she is on the path to a complete recovery.

A family member of the renowned ‘Material Girl’ singer disclosed to MailOnline that over the last few days, the outcome had been uncertain, and they had been readying themselves for the worst. They opted to keep the situation under wraps since Saturday, as they had concerns about her condition.

The Celebration tour, initially slated to commence on July 15th in Vancouver, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of her debut single, has been affected by the turn of events.

Scheduled stops on the tour, including cities like Detroit, Chicago, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Denver, Atlanta, and Boston, were set to occur during the first leg, which was scheduled to conclude on October 7th in Las Vegas.

Live Nation confirmed the tour’s postponement based on Oseary’s statement. He promised that details about rescheduled dates would be made public shortly.

Although her health is improving, Madonna is still receiving medical attention, according to Oseary’s communication.
